“My father has been an avid Oscar fan since the late 70’s. It was thru him that I (as a young teen) also learned to appreciate his music. My father has gone thru some recent health setbacks and challenges (stroke, and partial foot amputation due to complications from diabetes) and this really restricts him from getting out much. It’s been hard to watch this man who was so active all his life be so restricted on so many levels. On my visit to Cochrane 2 weeks ago, I saw a sign announcing Mr. Lopez’s concert and I immediately ordered tickets. I wanted to bring some joy and a smile to my father’s face and since it was in Cochrane, I knew it wouldn’t be difficult to convince my Dad to come out. I can’t even begin to tell you how much joy Oscar’s concert brought to my father! It melted my heart to watch my Dad smile and move to the music. To hear him laugh at Mr. Lopez’s jokes. It meant the world to my Dad to take a picture with Mr. Lopez and I deeply appreciate the time he took after the concert to take a picture with us. He is a true artist and people person. His passion for his music is still as it was years ago. Thank you for being you!!”
